What it costs
Midvaal's 2026/27 tariff (from 1 July 2026, VAT included) charges an evaluation fee by floor area. We read these from a scanned document, so confirm with the municipality before paying:

| 101 to 1 000 m² | R17 per m² |
An inspection fee per occupancy is charged on top. Preliminary sketch plans are charged at 50% of the evaluation fee, and as-built plans at 130%. Minor works such as fences, carports and pergolas have their own smaller fees.
