BuildingPlans.co.za is responsible for the personal information described here, under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
What we collect
- WhatsApp messages you send us. Your number, your name as WhatsApp shows it and what you write. We use them to answer you and to prepare your plans, and for nothing else.
- The enquiry form. It does not send anything to us. It writes a WhatsApp message on your phone, and nothing leaves your device until you press send in WhatsApp.
- Taps. When you tap a WhatsApp button we record that a tap happened, on which page, and which site sent you here (for example google.co.za). No name, number or identifier is recorded with it.
What we do not do
No cookies, no analytics, no advertising pixels, no third-party fonts. Your details are not sold or passed to anyone except the registered professional drawing your plans and, when you instruct us to submit, the municipality.
How long we keep it
Messages and project files are kept while your project runs and for as long as the law and professional rules require plans records to be kept afterwards.
Your rights
You may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it (sections 23 and 24 of POPIA), by WhatsApp on 073 429 5517. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
